What to Watch:

Second public meeting between budget conferees on Wednesday, November 13. Conferees must craft a deal before December 13.
 

This Week in Washington:

• The House and Senate are both in session  this week.

• The House-Senate budget conference committee will continue working toward an agreement on a FY 2014 budget resolution.  The conference committee must present a plan to their colleagues by December 13.

• On November, 14 from 1:00pm-3:00pm Eastern time, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will host a final webinar on proposed changes to the water quality standards (WQS) regulation.  

 

In the News:

• The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released a report last week outlining the costs of the 16-day federal government shutdown.

• The Department of Labor released the October employment report on Friday, November 8 The unemployment rate increased to 7.3 percent and labor force participation again came in lower.
